Your bill has died of dysentery
Just kidding.
But your bill has died somewhere along the way to becoming an Indiana law. Missing deadlines, getting stopped by committee chairs, or just getting voted down can end the progress of a bill.
But it doesn't mean that same bill can't be revived next legislative session. Depending on the complexity of the legislation, it takes an average of three to five years to get a bill signed into law.
