Producing for IPBS

IPBS member television and radio stations strive to present locally-produced programming that is reflective of Indiana and our Hoosier way of life. Member stations both broadcast original content and help facilitate national release of completed films, TV shows, and radio programs. Proposals may be submitted to IPBS at any time throughout the year. IPBS occasionally awards modest grants to assist with production costs.

Local Broadcast

Completed films, television shows, and radio programs (25 minutes or longer) will be considered for local broadcast on one or more IPBS member stations. Please submit a dvd of your completed work to:

Mark Newman, IPBS Executive Director

Films, television shows, and radio programs at any stage of development may also be considered for state and/or national distribution. Works for consideration in this category will go through a multi-step evaluation process that begins with submitting a project overview and clips of the completed work to:

Review Process

Each project submitted to IPBS will be reviewed and considered based on multiple criteria, including but not limited to the quality of the proposal or completed work, the credentials of the production team, the needs of the schedule, and whether it meets IPBS member stations core principles of programming that discovers, reflects, and brings to life the essence of Indiana. If the project is accepted, deadlines will be determined and a strategy for facilitating broadcast/distribution of the program will be set. Producers will be notified shortly thereafter.
