Indianapolis, April 25, 2024 – Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations, Inc. (IPBS) is pleased to announce the commencement of nominations for the 2024 IPBS Hall of Fame. Nominations are now open and will close on Friday, May 24.

The IPBS Hall of Fame seeks to honor outstanding champions of public media in Indiana who exemplify leadership, inspiration, and significant contributions to the field. This year marks the second edition of the Hall of Fame, following a successful inaugural induction in 2023 which included such notable figures as Perry Metz, Dr. Joe Misciewicz, Roger Rhodes, and Lloyd Wright.

Eligible nominees include current and former public media employees, board members, volunteers, nationally recognized public media figures with ties to Indiana, as well as elected and appointed officials.  For more information on submitting a nomination, refer to this guide.

To nominate a candidate, interested parties must complete and submit the Nomination Form online by the deadline on Friday, May 24, 2024. The form should include comprehensive details about the nominee’s community service, length of service in public media, and demonstrated impact, along with a personal statement of up to 500 words highlighting the nominee’s contributions.

Nomination materials, including completed forms and supporting documentation, should be saved as a PDF and emailed to Barbara Duke Sams at bsams@ipbs.org by the deadline.

A selection committee comprising IPBS board members and external judges will evaluate nominees based on achievement, recognition, and service. Inductees will be recognized at a special luncheon during the 2024 IPBS Conference on Tuesday, July 23.
